Please share with anyone you might think would be interested.

We've had a rethink and are opening out the evening in January for submissions. It's clear that people have a real need to channel their thoughts and feelings about the US election and the inevitably difficult and divisive times ahead, and we realise we need to facilitate that artistic outpouring as best we can!
So if you have something you'd like to share, please send your completed 4 mins (max) scripts to
Deadline is 10 Dec.

Pieces in any form welcome, from monologues to poetry to song to scenes, but please bear in mind that the playing area at the Comedy Store is quite small, so we'd struggle to stage a mass riot or White House invasion for example! Also please spare a thought to the necessary limitations of a script-in-hand performance...

We'll attempt to curate a finished bill by the beginning of January and will, as with Take Back Togetherness, create a tumblr page for the pieces we can't include. Please understand that it's not always about quality, but sometimes about getting the right mix of pieces in tone, style, subject matter. And time limits!

In the past, we've sometimes taken mash ups of our events to festivals etc, so we may ask your permission to use your pieces again in the future, to spread the word further, if that's ok with you.

Thank you for your already enthusiastic and positive response to the event, and we look forward to receiving your submissions.

"This is precisely the time when artists go to work. There is no time for despair, no place for self-pity, no need for silence, no room for fear.
We speak, we write, we do language.
That is how civilisations heal."
